Intro to Coastal Kayaking
The Classy Hippie Crew will join REI for their Introduction to Coastal Kayaking course! Students will learn about proper kayak and gear selection, how to read a tide log, and the fundamental paddle strokes to control your kayak. As a part of this course, we will also learn:
- To become familiar with kayaks, equipment, and proper clothing for the coastal environment
- To learn to enter and exit a kayak, including the wet exit, wearing a sprayskirt
- To learn paddle strokes, boat edging and braces to enhance boat handling skills
- To learn to perform the paddle float re-entry and the T-rescue
- To be introduced to the affects of weather and tides in a coastal environment
- To provide participants with an awareness of how to become a safe, responsible kayaker
Must be ages 18+ to register! Friday, April 21st at 6 AM - 2 PM
As a part of the Classy Hippie group, you will be provided with transportation and a complimentary vegetarian Classy Hippie Bag Lunch! We will meet at 3200 Broadway at 5:30 AM in order to depart by 6 AM.

How do I store Classy Hippie Tea?
All teas have a shelf life, to encourage the most beautiful cup, Classy Hippie Tea Co should be served ideally within 3 months of purchase. Avoid putting your tea in the refrigerator or freezer as this can cause your leaves to become stale faster.
Each order of our 2oz of sommelier select blends are packaged in a resealable pouch with a one way degassing valve to keep your tea fresh with the packing date stamped on the back.

What is specialty tea?
